Agadir with Kids: Best Family Activities
Is Agadir good for families?
Yes — Agadir is one of Morocco’s easiest cities for children. A wide, sheltered beach, a flat promenade and gentle activities make it a natural choice for a family holiday. Here are the activities that work best with kids, and a few practical tips.
The best family activities
Camel riding — a gentle favourite
Children love camels, and the ride is calm and steady, so it suits young riders. Children ride with a parent or with the guide, no experience is needed, and the two-hour route ends with mint tea and cake at the ranch. See camel riding.
Horse riding — familiar and gentle
For children who prefer horses, the same two-hour beach and river route is available on well-cared-for horses. Children ride with a parent or one of our guides. See horse riding.
The beach and promenade
Agadir’s beach is wide, clean and patrolled, with a flat promenade perfect for a pushchair. It is busiest around sunset, when the whole city seems to walk there.
Paradise Valley — a short family day trip
A half-day to natural pools and waterfalls in the Atlas foothills, about an hour away. The walk to the pools is short, and older children love swimming in the clear water. See the Paradise Valley tour.
For older kids — jet ski and quad
Teenagers often want more speed. A jet ski ride (children ride with an adult) or a quad tour is a highlight for older kids. See jet ski or quad and buggy.
Practical tips for families
- Hotel pickup and drop-off is included on every activity, so you do not need to arrange transport.
- Mornings are cooler — book the early departure in summer.
- Bring sunscreen, hats and water, especially for the beach and the rides.
- Children always ride with a parent or a guide — tell us their age when you book.
