Things to Do in Taghazout & Tamraght

Activities between surf sessions in Taghazout and Tamraght

Taghazout and Tamraght are two quiet surf villages on the Atlantic coast, about 20 to 30 minutes north of Agadir. Most people come for the waves, but between surf sessions there is a lot more to do — and it is all a short drive away.

Quad and buggy in the dunes

A two-hour guided circuit through the dunes, the argan forest and along the coast, from 400 DH per quad or 600 DH per buggy. It is the most popular activity for groups staying in the surf villages. See quad and buggy tours.

Jet ski on Agadir beach

15 to 60 minutes of pure adrenaline off Agadir beach, from 400 DH per jet ski. No licence or experience needed, and it fits easily into a morning or afternoon. See jet ski prices.

Camel riding along the beach

Two hours along Agadir beach, the Souss river and a eucalyptus forest, 200 DH per camel, with mint tea and cake at the ranch. Gentle, peaceful and great for photos. See camel riding.

Horse riding — the same route on horseback

The same two-hour beach and river route as the camel, 200 DH per person, on well-cared-for horses. A favourite for families. See horse riding.

Paradise Valley — a half-day escape

Natural pools, waterfalls and Berber villages in the Atlas foothills, about an hour away. A relaxed half-day trip from the coast. See the Paradise Valley tour.
